Philoshophy of Love
Every story has this theme of love. It's essential in stories, romance is something everyone wants. Those who have tasted it, demand more. Those who have never had it, desire it. The bible talks about love too. Love of a father, a mother, a son, a daughter, a lover, a friend. The bible actually contains the most famous and meaningful love quotes in the world. Such as,
(1 Corinthians 13:5)
'Love is always patient; love is always kind; love is never envious or arrogant with pride. Nor is she conceited.'
( 1 Corinthians 13:4)
Taken from wordnet.princeton.edu/perl/webwn: -
- a strong positive emotion of regard and affection; "his love for his work"; "children need a lot of love"
- any object of warm affection or devotion; "the theater was her first love"; "he has a passion for cock fighting";
- have a great affection or liking for; "I love French food"; "She loves her boss and works hard for him"
- beloved: a beloved person; used as terms of endearment
- get pleasure from; "I love cooking"
- a deep feeling of sexual desire and attraction; "their love left them indifferent to their surroundings"; "she was his first love"
- be enamoured or in love with; "She loves her husband deeply"
- a score of zero in tennis or squash; "it was 40 love"
- sleep together: have sexual intercourse with; "This student sleeps with everyone in her dorm"; "Adam knew Eve"; "Were you ever intimate with this man?"
- sexual love: sexual activities (often including sexual intercourse) between two people; "his lovemaking disgusted her"; "he hadn't had any love in months"; "he has a very complicated love life"
It does not just have ONE meaning; it really depends on how you use it.
These days, people link the word love with sexuality. We're confusing Love with Lust. Love doesn't necessarily have to do with sexuality. If it's true love then it's the kind of feeling where you're life is complete. It's when everything falls in its place. Suddenly you know why you're here, in this place, in this time. That kind of feeling.
People say the greatest act of love is sacrifice. I find fault in this. Why sacrifice? If one must sacrifice for another, how is that fair? How is that love? Why would a lover want his/her partner to sacrifice something his/her partner loves doing? I feel that the greatest act of Love is compromise. That way it's not selfish and both sides win. Isn't that way better instead of having BIG fights because somewhere on the journey of Love, one partner decides it's all the other ones' fault that he/she had to sacrifice something? It's just my opinion.
Here's what Esther wrote in a recent email -
"you really truly know that your guy loves you if he's willing to embarrass himself in public for yah.
hahaha :P what a philosophy of love to live on by."
She's brilliant and this makes so much sense. No one likes being embarrassed, it's a horrible feeling. You get hot all over and you turn bright red, everyone tries to avoid embarrassing themselves. Like Duh~ So when a guy/girl goes to the extremes to win your heart or to just show his/her affections then you know that somewhere in this crazy person he/she truly does love you.
Of course Love isn't all that perfect. It's not meant to be until you find Mr/Mrs Right. And until then, you're going to go through heartbreaks. That's normal; we have to go through pain in order to understand Love. The ups and downs of a relationship are the tools that teach us the true meaning of Love. If everything always goes right for couples then how will they cope when one day everything just goes down within seconds? It is the lessons we learned in dealing with problems during previous relationships that help us make our next relationship better, stronger and more lasting.
Not everyone believes in Love though. Personally I think it's a shame to miss out on such a complicated yet thrilling experience.
I copied and pasted this from my other blog. Yea, that's the reason I haven't been updating much. I have a new blog butI'm not giving that link out. No way Jose. :P

Marie Digby
like poison, you touched me, my heartbeat
it's spreading so sweetly
what are you thinking.. when we're this close?
i count on the space that i keep
guards up in towers they're watching, they're waiting
don't hurt me
the walls that protect me, keep me inside
i hate it when we say goodbye
alone for the rest of the night ... without you
tonight, i am waiting for you
to call me when you're not supposed to
i've been trying to send you signs
the doors to me are hard to find
so stop me, stop me, this time...
you kiss me goodnight on the cheek
each time it gets closer to my lips
or am i imagining
the parking lot's empty
so kiss me again
i hate it when we say goodbye
alone for the rest of the night without you
tonight, i am waiting for you
to call me when you're not supposed to
i've been trying to send you signs
the doors to me are hard to find
so stop me, stop me this time..
i've been trying to send you signs
the doors to me are so hard to find
so stop me, stop me, stop me, stop me this time..
A spotlight's shining brightly
On my face
And I can't see a thing
And yet I feel you , looking my way
An empty stage
With nothing but this girl
Who's singing this simple melody
And wearing her heart on her sleeve
And right now...
I have you
For a moment I can tell I've got you
Cause your lips don't move
And something is happening
Cause your eyes tell me the truth
I've put a spell over you.
Beauty emanates from every word that you say
And capture the deepest thoughts
In the purest and simplest of ways
But you see
I'm not that graceful like you
Nor am I as eloquent
But just a simple melody
Can change the way that you see me
And right now..
I have you
For a moment I can tell I've got you
Cause your lips don't move
And something is happening
Cause your eyes tell me the truth
I've put a spell over you..
All my life I stumble
But up here I am just perfect
Perfect as i'll ever be...
Theres a girl
Who sits under the bleachers
Just another day eating alone
And though she smiles
There is something she's hiding
And she cant find a way to relate
She just goes unnoticed
As the crowd passes by
And she'll pretend to be busy
When inside she just wants to cry
She'll say...
(Chorus)
Take a little look at the life of Miss Always Invisible
Look a little harder, I really really want you to put yourself in her shoes
Take another look at the face of Miss Always Invisible
Look a little closer and maybe then you will see why she waits for the day
When you'll ask her her name
In the beginning, in the first weeks of class
She did everything to try and fit in
But the others they couldnt seem to get past all the things that mismatched on the surface
And she would close her eyes when they laughed and she fell down the stairs
And the more that they joked
And the more that they screamed
She retreated to where she is now
And she'll sing...
(Chorus)
Take a little look at the life of Miss Always Invisible
Look a little closer I really really want you to put yourself in her shoes
Take a little look at the face of Miss Always Invisible
Look a little harder and maybe then you will see why she waits for the day that you will ask her...her name
And one day just the same as the last
Just the days spent in counting the time
Came a boy who sat under the bleachers just a little bit further behind...
Maybe one day.

Hand in Hand.
You make me cry.
You make me laugh.
You make me blush.
You make me feel all sorts of emotions.
That's how it's supposed to be.
That's how I like it.
We've been tested constantly.
We've passed every test with flying colours.
We've come out smiling after every challenge that has been thrown at us.
We've been through more challenges then any 2 year+ relationship.
Best friends to lovers.
Sometimes I'm difficult, I can't deny it.
Sometimes you say things without thinking, you can't deny it.
Sometimes I hurt you, sometimes you hurt me.
We can't deny this.
We know each other so well. It feels as though we've been friends for centuries.
We know each other so well. We finish each other's sentences.
Love, you caught me by surprise.
Love, we fit perfectly together.
Love, I wouldn't have us any other way.
sometimes it's hard to believe that someone can actually feel love for me.
